Inter Milan are planning a surprise move for Alexis Sanchez after he stalled on contract talks at Arsenal. The Chilean has two years left on his existing deal.
Sanchez joined the Gunners from Spanish giants Barcelona in 2014, and played a key role in their FA Cup triumph.
However, in the season which followed, he struggled to produce a similar showing with a hamstring problem denting his progress midway through the campaign.
According to Spanish source Fichajes, the 27-year-old has caught the attention of the Nerazzurri, whose manager Frank de Boer wants to replenish his attack this month.
It is added that Inter could cough a club-record £69m bid for the player with wages of around £7m-a-year, which will make him the highest earner in Serie A.
Sanchez had a below-par performance for Arsenal as they were beaten by Liverpool by a 4-3 scoreline in the Premier League opener.
