Romelu Lukaku has decided to stay put at Everton for at least another season. The Belgian will pen a long-term deal on wages worth £100,000-a-week.
The 23-year-old was expected to leave Goodison Park earlier this summer after he expressed his intention to win trophies at a top European club.
However, with the way the Toffees have gone in the transfer market, the striker has been convinced to remain at the club for the campaign.
Everton will offer a fresh £100,000-a-week deal to the player as they look to transform under the guidance of coach Ronald Koeman.
Lukaku joined the Toffees on a temporary basis from Chelsea in 2013 before the move was made permanent for £28m in the season which followed. He has netted nearly a goal in every other game in his time at Merseyside.
