Arsenal to loan out Jack Wilshere

30 August 2016 - 05:13

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger is set to send Jack Wilshere on a season-long loan in the quest to earn regular first-team football. The England international has suffered numerous injuries over his career and this has dented his progress.

  • Chelsea defender back in training ahead of Man Utd game
  • Chelsea keen on re-signing former graduate
  • According to Sky Sports News, the 24-year-old is likely to pursue a temporary deal this month after he held crunch discussions with Wenger.

The midfielder has so far seen much of his playing time from the substitutes' bench, and signs are he would have to contend with a similar role, should he stay put at the Emirates.

Everton and Leicester City are among the main contenders for the player, who will be hoping to revive career during the 2016-17 season.

Wilshere was the prime focus of attention this summer after he was picked in Roy Hodgson's squad for Euro 2016 despite missing an entire year through injury.
