Joe Hart’s agent has confirmed that the England goalkeeper will be moving to join Serie A side Torino, and a medical in Turin has already been scheduled, according to reports in Italy.
Italian sports newspaper Tuttosport has contacted Joe Hart’s agent Jonathan Barnett to get the inside scoop on the rumours suggesting that the Manchester City goalkeeper could soon be on his way to Serie A.
Barnett confirmed that his client will be joining Torino, and that the deal – believed to be a season long loan – is all agreed and will soon be completed.
Barnett said: “Yes, Joe will play for Toro.”
The 29-year-old former Shrewsbury Town player is currently on international duty with England, but reports in the English media are suggesting that he has been given permission to leave training and travel to Italy to undergo a medical.
Hart’s City future has been the subject of much speculation in recent weeks, with the keeper being drenched for the first three Premier League games of the season, with Argentinian stopper Willy Caballero selected ahead of him.
And with the arrival of Chilean international Claudio Bravo from FC Barcelona for €20 million, Hart finds himself third in the pecking order at the Etihad, and has been told he is free to find himself a new club.
Hart will move to Torino who have won seven Serie A titles and five Coppa Italias.
