Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has snubbed the likes of Crystal Palace and AS Roma to join Bournemouth on a season-long loan. The England international makes the move having struggled to earn playing time at the Emirates.
Italian side Roma were initially in the hunt for the player's signature, but the Gunners blocked the move after the way the Giallorossi treated their approach for Kostas Manolas last month.
It was therein a choice between the Eagles and Cherries, for which the 24-year-old opted for the latter in a bid to secure regular first-team football through the campaign.
Wilshere has had numerous injuries throughout his career, and manager Arsene Wenger will be hopeful that the temporary deal could rejuvenate his player's potential.
The midfielder came under strong criticism this summer after he was picked for the Three Lions squad for Euro 2016 despite missing a whole season through injury.
