Aleix Vidal open to Barcelona exit

01 October 2016 - 08:12

Aleix VidalĀ is prepared to seek a winter exit from Barcelona, should he remain a fringe player under Luis Enrique. The Spain international has been left out of recent games.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The 27-year-old joined the Catalan giants from Sevilla in the summer of 2015. but had to wait until the New Year for his first appearance due to Barca's transfer embargo.

The Spaniard followed to make 14 appearances in the second half of last season, but has once again fallen out of the reckoning under Luis Enrique.

Club graduate Sergi Roberto has owned the right-back position at Camp Nou this season, and this has seen Vidal literally being dropped out of the Match Day squads.

Sources in Spain claim that Vidal will assess his future with the Spanish champions in January, should he fail to attain playing time in the coming months.

Italian side Inter Milan are keeping a close watch on the player's situation having failed to lure him from Barcelona over the summer.
