Isco had no thoughts of leaving Real Madrid

05 October 2016 - 10:45

Spanish midfielder Isco has revealed that he never considered leaving Real Madrid during the summer transfer window.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The 24-year-old was strongly linked with an exit from the Bernabeu with Tottenham Hotspur believed to have proposed a temporary deal for his services.

When questioned over the speculation, the playmaker insisted that he had no thoughts of leaving the European champions, and neither did the club consider offloading him.

"Not really, I have two years left on my Real contract, the club said nothing and I never looked for anything to leave," he told Marca.

The former Valencia graduate is likely to be approached by Manchester United in the New Year with manager Jose Mourinho keen on adding more creativity to his midfield.

Isco has appeared in over 150 games in all competitions for Real Madrid since arriving from Malaga three years ago.
