Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho is expected to be handed over a fresh contract following his impressive start to the Premier League campaign.
City boss Pep Guardiola has praised the Brazilian's efforts this term by suggesting that he would love to have three players of the same calibre in his squad.
According to The Mirror, the 31-year-old will be rewarded a contract extension in the coming weeks with his previous deal due to expire at the end of the season.
Fernandinho has transformed into a key player under the new management of Guardiola, and this has earned him a recall to the Brazilian national side.
He has appeared in nearly 150 games for the Mancunian giants since arriving from Shakhtar Donetsk in 2013. He has also earned 29 caps for his nation.
