Batshuayi has his say on Marseille link

Chelsea striker Michy Batshuayi has iterated that he is not keen on a loan return to Marseille in the winter transfer window. The Belgian international has been restricted to limited playing time in the league this term.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Batshuayi, 23, joined the Blues from Marseille on a £33m over the summer, and has since played second fiddle to Diego Costa.

The Guardian reports that the Belgian striker is willing to fight for his spot at Stamford Bridge rather than seeking a temporary deal back to his former side.

Batshuayi has started in both of the club's EFL games whilst he has been on the substitutes' bench for all seven league matches.

Costa has been the first-choice striker under Antonio Conte this term, but Batshuayi is confident that he can change things around, once he earns an extended run in the first-team.
