Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino vetoed the 32 million sale of Korean forward Son Heung Min this summer, preventing the 24-year-old from returning to the Bundesliga, according to reports in Germany.
German sports magazine Sport Bild is reporting that Bundesliga side VfL Wolfsburg made a whopping €32 million offer for Tottenham Hotspurs attacker Son Heung Min in the summer transfer window, but Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino refused to sell the South Korean star.
Son signed for spurs in a £22 million deal from Bayer Leverkusen in the summer of 2015, becoming the most expensive Asian player in history.
His first season at White Hart Lane was a difficult one for him as he was unable to hold down a regular starting berth in the Lilywhites team.
Son has recently spoken of his difficult time in North London and how he wanted to leave Spurs to seek regular first team football.
But Pochettino assured the forward that he would receive his chance to play, and refused to allow him leave to join Wolfsburg.
This season, Son has been impressive for Spurs, playing both on the left wing and centrally as a striker in absence of the injured Harry Kane.
He has already scored five goals from six appearances so far this season, and is showing signs of developing into the player Spurs fans hoped he would be when signing from Leverusen.
