Napoli forward Lorenzo Insigne is open to the prospect of joining Liverpool in the future. The Italy international has stalled on talks over a fresh deal at Stadio San Paolo.
The 25-year-old has been a regular at Naples since his breakthrough campaign in the 2012-13 season.
According to Rai Sport, the attacker has no intention of extending his stay beyond 2018 after Napoli were reluctant to match his wage demands.
Insigne has requested a 200 percent increase on his £50,000 weekly package and this is something which has angered president Aurelio De Laurentiis .
The Italian was also in tears in midweek after he was jeered by the club's faithful for missing a penalty against Besiktas in the Champions League.
Napoli are expected to demand fees in excess of £40m, if they are to let go of their asset in the New Year.
