Man Utd, Juventus to rival for Pepe?

Man Utd, Juventus monitor Pepe

30 October 2016 - 07:43

Manchester United and Juventus are monitoring the situation of Real Madrid contract rebel Pepe. The Portugal international has had a glorious year having lifted the Champions League and Euro 2016 title.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The 33-year-old has stalled on talks over a fresh deal at the Bernabeu after Real were reluctant to offer him more than a years' extension.

According to Calciomercato, the centre-half is assessing his options for next season with the European champions unlikely to match his demands for a two-year contract.

As things stand, Pepe would be free to discuss a pre-contract in January and this has alerted the likes of Manchester United and Juventus, who are both in the search for defensive recruitments.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho is eager to add an experienced centre-back to his ranks, whilst the Old Lady are on the lookout for a suitable replacement for the ageing Andrea Barzagli.

Pepe has notched over 300 appearances for Real Madrid since arriving from Porto nine years ago.
