Everton revive Brahimi interest

30 October 2016 - 08:11

Everton will renew their pursuit for Porto attacker Yacine Brahimi when the transfer window reopens in two months' time. The Algerian international was heavily linked with a switch to Goodison Park in the summer.

  • Confirmed Chelsea line-up vs Liverpool, Levi Colwill starts
  • Chelsea tipped to sell £30m striker this summer
  • The Toffees were in constant communications with the player's representative in August, but a deal could not be materialized.

According to reports in Portugal, the Merseysiders will revive their interest in Brahimi in the New Year with Ronald Koeman desperate to add more creativity to his attack front.

Koeman's side made a bright start to their campaign and many expected them to be challenging for a top four position in the league.

However, they have since cooled off with a run of four league games without a win, and this has brought a sense of frustration among the club's faithful.

Porto are currently holding out for a &pound38m sum for Brahimi as they owe 50 percent of his stake to a third party.
