Serie A side Fiorentina are lining up a January bid for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Nuri Sahin. The Turkey international has been earmarked as a potential replacement for Milan Badelj.
Croatian international Baldelj has captured interest from many a clubs in Europe, and he is expected to leave Viola in the New Year.
German daily Bild says Viola are in advanced negotiations with Borussia Dortmund over a winter deal for Sahin.
Sahin has fallen out-of-favour under Thomas Tuchel this season, and BvB are willing to offload his services at the earliest opportunity.
The 28-year-old has been more of a fringe player for the Dortmund giants in recent years and a fresh club is what he needs to revive his faltering career.
Sahin has made exactly 200 league appearances during his two stints at Westfalenstadion.
