Man Utd to recall on-loan defender?

02 November 2016 - 08:30

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho is expected to recall Cameron Borthwick-Jackson from his loan stint at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The 19-year-old recently returned to the first-team fold at Molineux after he was restricted of playing time under former boss Walter Zenga.

According to The Sun, Mourinho is prepared to exercise the recall option on his gifted defender after Eric Bailly suffered a lengthy knee injury.

Bailly is expected to be out for the vast part of three months, and this could provide some gametime to Borthwick-Jackson, who is adept featuring as a left-sided centre-back.

Borthwich-Jackson made his first-team bow under Louis van Gaal last term where he amassed 14 outings in all competitions. He was expected to spend the whole campaign with the Wolves, but with an injury crisis at Old Trafford, he may well get a regular run under Mourinho.
