Manchester United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is reportedly on the verge of sealing a move to Major League Soccer. The German footballer was spotted having a luncheon with Chicago Fire manager Veljko Paunovic.
Schweinsteiger, 32, recently returned to the first-team setup after a couple of months with the Under-23 side.
According to The Manchester Evening News, the midfielder may have already decided on his next destination after he was photographed alongside Paunovic in a four-hour lunch session in Hale last week.
The World Cup winner has previously iterated that United would be his final club in Europe, and this provides a clear view where his future could lie at the start of 2017.
Apart from Chicago Fire, a whole host of Chinese clubs are said to be discussions with the player\'s representatives over a winter transfer.
