Olivier Giroud to fight for his Arsenal place

French striker Olivier Giroud has vowed to fight for his place at Arsenal. The 30-year-old has yet to earn a Premier League start under Arsene Wenger this term.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • Giroud has struggled to make himself this season due to the form of Alexis Sanchez, who has adapted well to the centre-forward role.

While interacting with Telefoot, the France international insisted that he is confident of regaining his spot at the Emirates, and this could start with the clash against Manchester United this weekend.

Chilean ace Sanchez is deemed doubtful to feature at Old Trafford in four days' time, and this could see the Frenchman earn his chance to impress at a ground, where the Gunners have struggled in recent seasons.

Giroud played a full 90 minutes in France's 2-1 win over Sweden in the World Cup qualifiers despite being low on fitness.
