Inter Milan are lining up a winter bid for Lazio midfielder Lucas Biglia as they seek to revive their faltering season. The Nerazzurri are currently 13 points adrift of league leaders Juventus.

The San Siro outfit were expected to offer a strong challenge for the Serie A crown this term, but their early league form has seen them being counted out.

According to Premium Sport, new Inter boss Stefano Pioli is expected to bring a couple of recruits at the start of 2017 as he seeks to push the club further up the table.

Lazio's Biglia is one among the top targets for Inter in the winter transfer window, and it is thought that a fee of around &pound22m would be sufficient to convince Lazio into a sale.

The Argentine is currently contracted to Lazio until the summer of 2018 and talks over a possible extension seem to have reached a standstill.
