Manchester United’s forgotten star could be the latest star to join MLS.
The 32-year-old is clearly not in Mourinho’s plans for this season and this week he has met with MLS side Chicago Fire as he looks likely to leave this January.
The World Cup winner is yet to make an appearance this season, and just started to train with the first team.
With the signing of Paul Pogba and the likes of Ander Herrera, Marouane Fellaini, Morgan Schneiderlin and Michael Carrick, Schweinsteiger, as Mourinho said, is not going to play until 3 or 4 of them gets injured (And Wayne Rooney, of course, could do it in the midfield).
So could this Germany legend’s career be revived? Only time will tell.
