Alan Pardew is on the brink of being sacked at Crystal Palace following the club's poor run in the Premier League. The Eagles are currently just a point above the drop zone.
According to The ESPN, the Eagles hierarchy are mulling the prospect of hiring a new manager, should Pardew fail to turn things at Swansea City on Saturday.
The 55-year-old has seen his side slump to five straight defeats in the top flight, whilst they are also the worst performing club in the Football League averaging just 0.73 points a game in the calendar year.
Former Sunderland boss Sam Allardyce is for now the preferred option to replace Pardew at the helm, given his experience of getting clubs out of the relegation battle.
Pardew will have a final chance to redeem himself this weekend when his team take on fellow strugglers Swansea City in the Premier League.
