Barcelona eye shock raid for Real Madrid star

Barcelona are plotting a surprise bid for Real Madrid playmaker Isco. The Spaniard has returned to the first-team fold under Zinedine Zidane this season.

  • Isco, 24, has recently revealed his intention to earn a fresh contract after he was recalled to the starting line-up.

    According to Mundo Deportivo, Barcelona are keeping a close track on Isco's situation with his current contract due to expire in June 2018.

    The former Malaga man struggled to cement a regular place at the start of the season, and it was only after Gareth Bale suffered an ankle injury, did he get his chance to impress.

    Isco is expected to earn an extended run with the European champions this season with Bale unlikely to return to action until March.

    The midfielder has appeared in 162 outings for Real Madrid till date.
