West Ham boss hints at Sturridge interest

11 December 2016 - 06:07

West Ham United boss Slaven Bilic has refused to rule out a move for Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge in the January transfer window.

  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Crystal Palace, Evans starts
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • The England international is currently nursing a calf injury which is likely to keep him out until the New Year.

Ahead of the Liverpool game, Bilic heaped praised on the injury-plagued forward, and stated that nearly every English club is thinking about him.

"He's one of the biggest talents, he's a great player. The talent is there, the touch, the finishing, everything is great. The only thing that's stopped him being regular for club and country are the injuries," he told reporters."

"We're always there in contention. Most of the time it's absolutely not true, 95 per cent of the time. But you're asking me about Sturridge and I have no problem about that. All the clubs are thinking about him because he is that kind of player"

Sturridge has struggled to cement a regular place under Jurgen Klopp despite being fit earlier in the season, and there could be a possibility that he could place a transfer request at the turn of the year.
