Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford is reportedly on the verge of sealing a £10m to former side Middlesbrough. The 23-year-old spent a solitary season with Boro on loan during the 2014-15 campaign.
Bamford was recently recalled from his temporary spell at Burnley after having failed to make a single start under Sean Dyche across all competitions.
According to Sky Sports News, a deal have settled between both the Blues and Boro, and the move will go through once the player has a successful medical on Teesside.
Bamford netted 19 goals for Boro during their promotion chase two years ago, and this remains his best goalscoring tally for a single season. He was also named the Championship Player of the Year for the campaign.
Middlesbrough will cough up an initial £6m upfront for Bamford with a remaining £4m to be adjusted based on his performances.
The deal would represent a good business for Chelsea, who bought the player for a mere £1.5m from Nottingham Forest in January 2012.
