Zidane Wants Alli

Alli has emerged as a target for Zidane

Zidane Wants Alli

22 January 2017 - 14:37

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Dele Alli has emerged as a high priority transfer target for Real Madrid, with the Spanish giants said to be willing to do "whatever it takes" to bring the England man to the Bernabeu.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The 20 year old midfielder has gone from strength to strength since joining Spurs from MK Dons in 2015, and has become a key member of their squad.

Reports suggest that Real are willing to bid in the region of £50 million for the youngster, however fans of the North London club will be desperate to hold on to him to help with their challenge at the top of the Premier League. As recently as yesterday Alli was showing his importance to the team, scoring in their 2-2 draw with Manchester City his twelfth of the season.

Of course, this wouldn't be the first time that Madrid had looked to White Hart Lane to strengthen their squad, with Luka Modric making the move to the continent in 2012 for a fee of £33 million, followed by Gareth Bale in 2013 for a world record £78 million.

Alli signed a new contract in September and will be hoping that they can do enough to keep him at the club, however the history and spending power that Real Madrid have behind them would make it a very hard offer to turn down.
