Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho has insisted that he will not come in the way of Wayne Rooney, should he decide to join the Chinese Super League.

  • The England international became the Red Devils' all-time goalscorer on Saturday after he netted a stunning free-kick to earn his side a 1-1 draw at Stoke City.

According to The Mirror, the 31-year-old is currently the subject of transfer bids from two Chinese clubs, both of whom are willing to more than double his £300,000-a-week wages.

The Three Lions striker has not been in the best of form over the past 18 months and Mourinho will not intervene in any agreement if the veteran opts to move on.

“I don’t know, it’s up to him,” the Portuguese said over Rooney's potential Asian deal.

Rooney, who is also England's top-scorer, has notched five goals and nine assists in all competitions for Manchester United this season.
