Harry Kane reacts to Man Utd speculation

England international Harry Kane has insisted that he could retire with Tottenham Hotspur amid interest from Manchester United.

  • Arsenal to swap Gabriel Jesus for Inter Milan star?
  • Arsenal leading race to sign Belgian midfielder

  • The 23-year-old has already netted 14 goals in the Premier League this season and he is key to Spurs' chances of challenging Chelsea for the English crown.

United boss Jose Mourinho had recently suggested that he could move for a new centre-forward in the summer in order to reduce the burden on Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

And this led to Harry Kane being named as one of the top targets for the Red Devils ahead of this summer's transfer window.

In an interview with TalkSPORT, the young striker admitted that he could stay put at White Hart Lane for the rest of his career even if it is to sacrifice the riches from one of Europe's elite clubs.

"The most important thing for me is that the club is moving forward," he told TalkSPORT.

"We have got a young team, a young, fantastic manager, we have got a new stadium coming in two years and we have got a new training ground.

"Some people are motivated by money but I’m not one of them. I am motivated by trying to win trophies. I am happy at Tottenham."

Tottenham Hotspur are currently nine points adrift of league leaders Chelsea, and Kane will have to be in top form if his side are to close the gap on their London rivals in order to lift the title.
