Zidane seems to be content with Navas as of now

Zinedine Zidane backs Keylor Navas

Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane has reportedly given his full backing to goalkeeper Keylor Navas amid the club's ongoing pursuit for a world-class shot-stopper. Manchester United's David de Gea and Chelsea's Thibaut Courtois are the leading candidates to replace Navas in the summer.

  • Arsenal handed injury boost on defender ahead of Bournemouth clash
  • Chelsea planning shock move for Man City winger?

  • Navas' position has come into question in recent weeks with Los Blancos' hierarchy seemingly keen on reviving their interest in De Gea.

Zidane, on the other hand, is said to want Courtois ahead of the United shot-stopper, and this has only sparked more speculation over Navas' future.

Prior to the game versus Osasuna, the Frenchman was asked about the player's position, but he had not much to stay other than back his current squad to perform.

"He looks very good. I've got a squad of 24 players and I don't want to think about the future. I'm concerned with the players I have and the competitions we're involved in," he told reporters.

Navas has been the club's undisputed number one since his World Cup exploits in 2014, and it appears that he would be willing to compete for his position against a world-class keeper next season.
