Giggs Cant See Bale Leaving

Giggs thinks Bale will be staying in Madrid

Giggs Can't See Bale Leaving

21 February 2017 - 10:25

Former Manchester United and Wales winger Ryan Giggs has said that he cannot see his fellow countryman Gareth Bale leaving Real Madrid for a return to the Premier League anytime soon.

  • Chelsea join Liverpool & Man Utd in race to sign 26yo
  • Barcelona identify Arsenal midfielder as key transfer target

  • Despite signing a new contract as recently as October that will keep Bale at the Santiago Bernabeu until 2022, the Welsh superstar has been surrounded by speculation that he will be returning to the Premier League in the near future, with Manchester United said to be interested.

After recovering from an ankle injury that has kept him out since November, Gareth Bale returned to the Real Madrid squad on Saturday, making an instant impact by scoring as a substitute in his side's 2-0 win over Espanyol.

Speaking to BBC Sport Wales, Giggs explained that "from a fan's point of view, it would be great to see him back in the Premier League." All Premier League fans would agree with that, as English fans thrive on seeing the World's best players on a weekly basis. However, in the words of Giggs; "He looks happy at Real Madrid. Whilst he's happy there, I can't see him leaving."
