With things at Anfield not going to plan for Jurgen Klopp, with the German manager accepting that he may have to construct a new squad if his Liverpool team are to challenge for the Premier League title in the future, a Guinea international midfielder has been identified as a target.
Naby Keita of RB Leipzig has impressed constantly in the Bundesliga this season, as part of the team who are mounting an unexpected title challenge in Germany. Keita would be an excellent acquisition for the Anfield team, with his ability to play as a holding midfielder, or in a more creative attacking position, which has seen him contribute four goals and seven assists for Leipzig this season.
It is Keita's debut campaign for the Bundesliga team, after signing from fellow Red Bull franchise Red Bull Salzburg. At the young age of 22, and showing signs of great potential, the midfielder may demand a large transfer fee, with Bayern Munich and Borussia Dortmund said to be interested aswell.
According to Goal, Keita had talks with Arsene Wenger about a move to Arsenal before he signed for Leipzig, but felt that the passion from Leipzig directors was more than from Arsenal.
