In form Tottenham striker Harry Kane added two more goals to his tally this afternoon, as he helped his Spurs side beat Everton 3-2 at White Hart Lane, and keep them second in the Premier League.
It took Kane just twenty minutes to break the deadlock, when Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles was beaten by a powerful effort. Eleven minutes after the break, Kane put Spurs 2-0 up, when he calmly slotted past Robles again.
Kane is now the leading scorer in the Premier League this season, with nineteen goals for the campaign, with eleven games still to play. In his last twelve games in all competitions, the England man has netted fourteen goals.
With ten minutes to go, Romelu Lukaku got Everton back into the game, before Dele Alli looked like he had secured the two goal victory for Spurs, when he got on the end of a Harry Winks free kick two minutes into stoppage time. However, substitute Enner Valencia made a nervy ending for the home team just moments later, as he dragged Everton back into the match again, as he made the score 3-2.
Tottenham were able to hold on for the win though, cutting the gap behind Chelsea to seven points. The league leaders play on Monday night however against West Ham, where they will look to reinstate the ten point gap.
