Mamadi Keita has left Blackburn and joined Hamburg. The player had been regarded as a player for the future by Mark Hughes, but it appears the Welshman has decided his future may lie elsewhere.

  • The 18 year old midfielder has put pen to paper on a two-and-a-half year deal with the Hanseaten after impressing during a recent trial at the club.

"Mamadi is a former Germany youth international who will firstly be integrated with our reserve team" said Hamburg director of sport Dietmar Beiersdorfer.

"At the same time, he will be a potential first-team player too" he added.
