Double striker deal planned at Chelsea

Chelsea are prepared to bring in both Alvaro Morata and Romelu Lukaku to Stamford Bridge, should they offload Diego Costa at the end of the campaign.

  • Liverpool star in full training ahead of Burnley trip

  • The Blues are widely expected to consider offers for Costa in the summer having previously snubbed a club-record £96m deal midway through the season.

Costa is still said to have the ambition of a lucrative move to the Chinese Super League, and he could push for a transfer at the end of the current campaign.

According to The Sun, the Blues could be well prepared for the Spaniard's exit with Lukaku and Morata being lined up as potential targets for the summer.

Lukaku, who is now Everton's all-time Premier League scorer, is keen on a move to a Champions League club after having turned down a fresh contract at Goodison.

Meanwhile, Morata still faces an uncertain future at the Bernabeu, and he could jump at the chance at joining Chelsea, who previously failed with a £60m approach for his services last summer.

Morata is likely to cost a fee of around just £35m this time around following his restricted time under Zinedine Zidane this season.
