Jose Mourinho to hold talks over winger transfer

Mourinho pushing for Perisic move

Jose Mourinho to hold talks over winger transfer

24 March 2017 - 14:00

Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has reportedly made his way to Croatia ahead of their World Cup qualifier against Ukraine tonight.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The 54-year-old is due to keep a close watch on Inter Milan's Ivan Perisic, who he hopes to settle an agreement with during the visit to Zagreb.

According to The Sun, the United boss has taken matters into his own following interest from the likes of Chelsea and Liverpool in the attacker.

Perisic's representative Predrag Mijatovic, who has previously spent three years as Real Madrid's sporting director, is said to have a close association with Mourinho, and this could smoothen the potential transfer.

The Croatia international has the potential to play in various positions in the attack front, and his arrival could be one of many with Mourinho prepared to offload a number of players during the summer transfer window.

Perisic, 28, has netted 18 goals in 68 outings for Inter Milan since his arrival from Wolfsburg in the summer of 2015. He will serve a one-game suspension for the game versus Ukraine.
