Midfielder Tom Cleverley has agreed a five year permanent deal to join Watford. The fan favourite has decided to dedicate his long term future to the club.

  • Fulham want to sign Liverpool left-back
  • Everton make bid for Oleksandr Zinchenko

  • The 27-year-old will make a move from Everton permanent in the summer transfer window after a series of excellent performances for Watford since his loan transfer.

Watford have decided to exercise their right to agree a transfer for Cleverley as part of the loan deal agreed in the January transfer window from the Toffees for the midfielder.

The former Manchester United midfielder has suggested that several other Premier League teams were interested in his signature but Watford has always been his preferred destination.

Cleverley has also played for Leicester City, Wigan Athletic and Aston Villa on loan and has also appeared 13 times for England's full national team between 2012-13.

It is understood that Watford will pay a fee of around 6.2 million GBP to make the transfer for Cleverley a permanent one and have beaten the likes of Sunderland to wrap up a deal.
