Romelu Lukaku to snub Mourinho reunion

Everton striker will reportedly reject advances from Manchester United in order to realise his dream comeback to Chelsea.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The Belgium international has been in stunning form for the Toffees this season, and he is currently the league's top scorer with 24 goals.

A report from The Sun suggests that the 23-year-old has no intention to join the Red Devils due to the presence of Blues boss Jose Mourinho.

Lukaku was sold from Stamford Bridge while Mourinho was still manager in 2014, and it appears that his relationship with the Portuguese coach has reached a dead end.

Chelsea had tried to pursue Lukaku during the previous summer transfer window, and Conte has received a huge boost this time around with the player keen on a return to his ex-club.

Lukaku has already snubbed a £140,000-a-week at Goodison, and he is leaning towards a summer exit, though he has two years left on his existing deal.

The Belgian has struggled to show up in the big games this season, and this could be a minor concern for Conte, who is looking for a potential replacement for Diego Costa in the summer.

Costa continues to be linked with a move to the Chinese Super League with super-agent Jorge Mendes having met up with his client to discuss a future transfer.
