Bayern open Sanchez talks

Reports suggest that talks have be held about a Sanchez to Bayern Munich deal

Bayern open Sanchez talks

It would be no surprise to see Alexis Sanchez depart Arsenal this summer, with the Chilean unhappy with The Gunners' failure to launch a serious title challenge in the Premier League, whilst being completely outclassed by Bayern Munich in the Champions League. There is a growing list of teams interested in signing him, but it looks like it may actually be Bayern who win the race for the former Barcelona man.

  • Sanchez has just over a year remaining on his Arsenal contract, but he appears reluctant to extend that deal, meaning that the North London club may decide to cash in on him now, instead of losing him on a free next year.

German newspaper Bild claims that Sanchez's agent has been in Munich recently, to open talks about a summer move. The agent, Fernando Felicevich, is also the agent of Bayern Munich player Arturo Vidal, meaning that he already has good links with the German club, which may aid a potential deal.

Bayern Munich have just sealed yet another Bundesliga title and regularly challenge in the knockout stages of the Champions League. That is the sort of level that Sanchez wants to be playing at, and something that Arsenal have struggled to do recently.

Although they do not want to lose Sanchez at all, Arsenal would rather sell to an overseas team, as opposed to the likes of Manchester City, Manchester United and Chelsea, who are all Premier League rivals who have shown interest.
