Manchester United goalkeeper Sergio Romero has told the club that he does not want to leave, amid speculation linking him with a move to Serie A club Inter Milan.Â
Romero has featured just once in the Premier League this season, but has however appeared regularly for the Red Devils in cup competitions, including Thursday's Europa League semi final victory over Celta Vigo.Â
Remaining at the club would almost certainly see him feature again as Jose Mourinho's second choice goalkeeper, but the thirty year old Argentina international says he is happy to do so, with the club making him "feel important."Â
When questioned about a possible move to Inter Milan, Romero told Sky Sports Italia that he is currently very happy in Manchester and added "I doubt I'll be in Italy next year."Â
With the second choice goalkeeper seemingly committed to the club, Manchester United fans will be hoping that the same can be said for first choice stopper, David de Gea. The Spanish international is once again a target for Real Madrid, and a record transfer fee for a goalkeeper could be on the cards this summer.Â
If de Gea does leave Old Trafford, reports suggest that United may attempt to replace him with either Leicester City's Kasper Schmeichel, or Joe Hart from bitter rivals Manchester City.Â
