Arsena could reportedly move in for another left-sided defender after having secured the free transfer of Schalke's Sead Kolasinac.

  • Kolasinac, 23, has agreed to a Bosman transfer this summer after he settled on a five-year deal with the north London club, Sky Sports claims.

In spite of this, the FA Cup finalists appear to be on the hunt for a new full-back with Juventus' Alex Sandro propping up the shortlist, according to Tuttosport.

Sandro has featured in both the left-back and left wing-back positions this season, and the Gunners are prepared to test Juventus' resolve by tabling a £34m offer for his services.

The Brazil international arrived from Porto for a £22m fee in the summer of 2015, and he has since become an integral part of the Old Lady, who continue to dominate the Serie A.

Sandro, who is often likened to Brazil great Roberto Carlos, is understood to be eyeing a new bumper contract, but the Old Lady could still consider the offer from the European rivals.

The former Porto man has appeared in 48 league outings under Max Allegri, who has opted to tweak his formation over the course of the campaign.
