Saturday's FA Cup final between Arsenal and Chelsea could be a deciding factor in regards to the future of manager Arsene Wenger. Having failed to qualify for the Champions League and large sections of the supporters calling for him to leave, the Wembley clash could be the Frenchman's final game in charge of The Gunners.
Despite the importance of the fixture, Wenger is set to name second choice goalkeeper David Ospina in the starting lineup, leaving Petr Cech on the bench. Although Ospina often plays in the cup competitions, many expected Cech to start, with so much riding on the outcome.
Petr Cech has started the last two FA Cup ties, but Wenger has reverted back to his policy of playing Ospina in cup games it would seem. The Colombian goalkeeper is rumoured to be leaving the Emirates this summer, so will be hoping that he can leave on a high.
It is the first time that Arsenal have not finished inside the top four of the Premier League in two decades and defeat to Chelsea would add further disappointment to a disappointing season.
The future of Arsene Wenger has divided the fans, with some believing that his previous success with the club has earned him an opportunity to turn around their fortunes, whilst others believe that Arsenal need a fresh face in the dugout. Regardless of their opinions, they will all be cheering on their team on Saturday, where they hope they can prevent Chelsea from sealing a league and cup double.
