Pep Guardiola is facing pressure from the Manchester City owners to reintegrate England goalkeeper Joe Hart with the first team squad when he returns from his loan spell with Torino, despite appearing decided that he would sell him this summer.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • One of the first things that Guardiola did upon his arrival at the Etihad was to offload Hart, bringing in Claudio Bravo as a replacement. Bravo has struggled during his first season at the club, and could be on his way out after just one season.

Guardiola is said to be chasing Benfica goalkeeper Ederson Moraes, but the Manchester City board want him to keep hold of Joe Hart, The Sun reports. Hart is highly regarded by City chiefs and is also a big favourite with the supporters.

With Hart expected to be sold, it is rival Premier League teams that are showing interest in his services, with Manchester United, Liverpool and Arsenal all being linked.

Manchester City owners do not want to see Hart leave, particularly to a rival for the Premier League title. They will do what they can to persuade Guardiola to think again about the future of the England stopper, but he has proven before that he is not afraid of making a controversial decision.
