French giants Paris Saint-Germain are deemed front-runners to sign Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang during the summer transfer window.

  • The Gabon international is regarded as one of the finest strikers in Europe after having scored 120 goals in just four seasons at the Westfalenstadion outfit.

Aubameyang won the Bundesliga Golden Boot following his 31-goal tally in just 32 games while he also achieved the 40-goal mark for the first time in his career as he scored the match-winning penalty in the triumph over Eintracht Frankfurt in the DFB Pokal final.

A host of European clubs including Arsenal and Manchester City have been credited with an interest in the striker in the past, but according to beIN Sports, Les Parisiens have begun negotiations to lure the marksman back to Ligue 1.

Aubameyang, who handed a transfer request earlier in the month, previously plyed his trade with the likes of Dijon, Lille and Monaco on loan before making the switch to Saint-Etienne from AC Milan.

BvB have previously rated their asset in excess of £80m, but they are now prepared to accept just over half the sum in order to sell the 27-year-old.

Paris Saint-Germain have frequently relied on Edinson Cavani to produce the goods up front, and the arrival of Aubameyang could yet form a deadly partnership to push the club further in Europe.
