Manchester United prepare to make Gareth Bale move

29 May 2017 - 15:35

Reports in Spain today are suggesting that Manchester United will make a move for Gareth Bale if he is not selected in the Real Madrid starting lineup for the Champions League final against Juventus.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • Bale has struggled with injuries during his time in Madrid, particularly this season. He has been missing from action since he limped off against Barcelona in La Liga, but is expected to be back to fitness in time for the Champions League final.

During that time, Isco has found some great form for the Spanish giants, and will himself be disappointed if he is not selected to start the match for Europe's elite competition.

Manchester United have been linked with a move for the Welshman for the duration of the season, but reports in Mundo Deportivo today suggest that their belief in completing a deal will increase if Bale cannot break back into Zinedine Zidane's first team plans for the season finale. Jose Mourinho would see him as a key part of his attack, as he plots a return to Premier League glory.

Bale's disappointment at being left out of the final would be increased by the fact that it is being held in his home country of Wales, with Cardiff's Millenium Stadium the venue for what could be a classic.
