Arsene Wenger is staying at Arsenal

After speculation about Arsene Wenger's future at Arsenal that seems to have gone on for an eternity, it now appears that the Frenchman will extend his stay with The Gunners by signing a new two year deal.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • A highly disappointing season saw Arsenal finish outside the top four of the Premier League for the first time since 1996 and were dumped out of the Champions League by a dominant Bayern Munich team.

With pressure from supporters and pundits mounting, the FA Cup final provided one last chance of redemption for Wenger and his team, with the opportunity to take something from the season. If Arsenal had lost to Chelsea, many believed that Wenger was set to be shown the exit at the Emirates.

Arsenal came out on top at Wembley on Saturday, which appears to have extended the manager's stay at the club, with a two year extension agreed by the two parties.

Although a new deal has been negotiated, the club will expect to see a big improvement from the team or that two year contract may be ended early. Expect to see a busy summer for Arsenal, as Arsene Wenger uses all of his experience to try and once again create an Arsenal team capable of challenging for the Premier League title.
