Bayern Munich growing confident of Alexis Sanchez deal

German champions Bayern Munich are growing increasingly confident of securing a deal for Arsenal's Alexis Sanchez during the summer transfer window.

  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal
  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The Chilean bagged his career best tally of 30 goals and 15 assists last term, but despite this, the club fell short of their quest of Champions League football.

Sanchez has been prolonging contract negotiations over the past few months, and it is suggested that he may be off to a European rival with Arturo Vidal, in particular, hoping to lure his countrymate to the Allianz Arena.

According to The Mirror, Bayern are confident of striking a huge deal with Arsenal in order to secure the attacker's signature this summer.

The north London outfit are also likely to receive interest from the likes of Chelsea and Manchester City, but the club will not entertain the prospect of strengthening a direct league rival.

Meanwhile, Gunners boss Arsene Wenger has stressed that he could keep hold of Sanchez and Mesut Ozil for the final year of their contracts, even if it means to sell them on a free next term.

"This summer, first of all, they will stay at the club and hopefully we can extend their contract," he told beIN Sports.
