Brazilian goalscoring legend Romario has announced that at the end of March he will retire from football - both in a playing and coaching capacity. Romario will now help Brazil's 2014 World Cup hosting campaign.

  • The forty-two year old had been expected to announce that his playing days were coming to a close.



    It was believed he would continue as a coach, but Romario has changed his mind.



    "After the 30th, I stop. I will not go on even as coach," he confirmed.



    "I will contribute to promoting the 2014 World Cup. I will work on that.
