Thiago Silva reacts after Chelsea's win at Brighton
Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has thanked the fans following the 2-1 Premier League win over Brighton & Hove Albion on the road.
The west London giants have had another difficult campaign, but they could end the season on a high with five successive victories.
The club have moved to sixth in the table amid their fine form. They could finish fifth with a win if Tottenham were to lose at Sheffield United.
Silva will be making his final appearance for the club this weekend. Prior to the game, he thanked the fans saying: "Very important result today."
"We will give it our all in the final game. Thank you for supporting us. See you on Sunday."
The Blues started the season with high expectations of Champions League football, but they have failed to achieve their desired target.
They still have much to play for in the season finale. The club need a point against Bournemouth to confirm their spot in the Europa League.
A defeat on the other hand could see them drop into the Conference League next term, should Newcastle United beat Brentford on the road.
