Borussia Dortmund have opened their transfer activity for the summer and are understood to have tabled a bid for Italian international striker Mario Balotelli, according to reports from Germany. The Nice striker scored 15 goals in 23 games last season and caught the eye of Germany's second biggest club.
The striker, who has scored 13 goals in 33 games for the Italian national team, has been busy working hard in the gym ahead of pre-season training and a potential move to the Bundesliga.
It is understood that numerous teams have expressed an interest in the Nice star, with Italian clubs Roma and former team Inter Milan also closely monitoring Balotelli's situation. Nice have apparently quoted Borussia Dortmund 22 million euros for the striker.
The 26-year-old currently has three years remaining on his contract with Nice, who finished in third place in Ligue 1; one of their best performances for decades.
Balotelli is said to be ready to make a move to another top team should an offer present itself during the summer transfer window.
