Fabio Capello has revealed that Michael Owen will not be starting for England in tonight's friendly game against Switzerland.
Micheal Owen has not been on top form for Newcastle recently despite scoring against Middlesborough, and has been finding it hard to hit the back of the net, which we are so unfamiliar with Owen.
Capello has reinforced his "no nonsense" regime. In training Joe Cole was the player playing behind Rooney up front.
Other surprising players that look likely to start are Mathew Upson and Wes Brown after solid performances in the Premier League.
