Sanchez's future left to his agent

Alexis Sanchez speaks on his Arsenal future

09 June 2017 - 05:09

Arsenal attacker Alexis Sanchez gave a view on his Gunners future during his preparations with Chile for the Confederations Cup in Russia.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Chile international was in sublime touch for the north London last term as he scored 30 goals and assisted a further 15 in 51 outings across all competitions.

Despite this, speculation continues to roam over the attacker's future after he stalled on a potential contract beyond the end of next season.

The likes of Manchester City, Chelsea and Bayern Munich have all been credited with an interest over the past month, but Sanchez insists that the final decision on his future could be left to his representative.

"I'm looking at what my agent is doing," he told Cooperativa. "For now, I'm focused on the [Confederations] Cup in Russia and trying to do well.

"The truth is that my agent will see to it. He knows and he will sit down with the club to look for the best option for me. I'd like a lot of things but I'm only thinking about the national team."

Meanwhile, a separate report from The Mirror suggests that Bayern Munich are winning the race to sign Sanchez with the club's hierarchy prepared to sanction a £350,000 a week deal which would make him the highest earner at the German champions.

Arsenal are still keen to discuss a potential £270,000 a contract with their leading marksman, but it appears that the lack of Champions League football has dented their chances.
