After impressing during a loan spell with Crystal Palace during the second half of the Premier League season, Tottenham Hotspur could be preparing to offer defender Mamadou Sakho an end to his Liverpool nightmare.
Sakho is out of favour at Anfield and after a fallout with the manager looks unlikely to ever regain a place in the first team squad.
The Frenchman was a key part in improving Crystal Palace's defence during the second half of last season, which ultimately kept them in the Premier League.
A number of clubs have shown interest in his services this summer and Liverpool have said that he is free to leave the club, as long as his £30 million valuation is met.
The Eagles were quick to express their desire to make his loan spell permanent, but the asking price appears to have ended their hopes of that happening.
The Sun today reports that Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is considering signing Sakho as he looks to strengthen his squad and challenge for the Premier League title again next season.
